Oh, man. In the words of So and So from Teen Girl Squad, "I'm totally crushing!"
Alright, well there's this guy who goes to my church on Saturday night, and he's really cute. He also plays guitar in the band, which automatically makes him 10 times more appealing to me. Well, last week was Pastor Josh's last week, who is the singer and keyboardist of the band, so this past Saturday, some other people were taking over the band and added some changes to the group.
Well, I finally found out this cute boy's name on Saturday because he introduced himself to the group and told everyone what was going on with the music portion of the service. Well, he said his name was Corey, and then he led a prayer, and then went up on the stage, got his guitar and walked up to the microphone, the band started playing, and he started singing.
*faint*
Dude, I'm so attracted to guys in bands. Yeah, it's in church, but they're changing the music around to make it more exciting and upbeat. I mean, the band has always been upbeat, but this time it was more on the rock side, I guess you could say. More guitar riffs and drums and a little less keyboard, unless it's a slow song. But yeah. I mean, I'm sure I don't have a chance with the guy, but you never know. He probably has a girlfriend anyway. But he's a lot of fun to look at. Heh.
It's like my added bonus when I go to church, and you can't beat that!
I'm trying to get Jennifer to come to church with me this Saturday. Whenever I bring it up, she looks so hesitant to give me an answer. I think she just expects regular boring Catholic church and has these preconcieved notions about church now. I mean, it's not all the same. You don't sit down, stand up, sit down, stand up the whole time. We're not robots here. I think if I get her to go just once, she'll like it.
In other non-church, although boy-related, news, Jennifer and Wes saw Ryan on Friday. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned Ryan before, but he's this guy I liked senior year of high school. He sat next to me in my computer/business class. Back then I was more quiet than I am now, so I was the quiet girl who let the adorable guy copy my homework. He was always super nice about it. I mean, he never even asked to copy my work. He'd ask me questions and I'd help him out, and I told him he could copy my homework if he wanted.
He only did a couple times, though. And if my memory serves me right, he let me copy one of his assignments, too. It was an even exchange.
Anyway, I had this ordeal where I talked to him online and told him I was somebody else and went to another school. We talked a lot and he wanted to "meet" me but I always put it off. Then I finally told him that I actually went to his school and had a crush on him, but I didn't tell him who I was. Why? Cuz I had no self-confidence. I was the quiet chubby girl with glasses in high school and I wanted to change my image before I told him who I was. Well, after I lost like 45 pounds, I still wasn't confident enough to tell him. I'm trying to work on that now, though.
I'm hoping to tell him sometime soon. I still wanna lose just a little more weight and then work on some other changes.
Do you realize that I totally went off the subject of Jennifer and Wes seeing Ryan on Friday? Okay, so they saw him at BLOCKBUSTER!! Jennifer called me when she had just saw him walk out, and this was HALF AN HOUR AFTER I GOT OFF OF WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grrrrr. That's just my luck. But me being sneaky and all, I looked up his account and saw the movie he rented, as I did a couple weeks prior. They were all guy movies. I told this to Remy and she said that means he's still single. But the moment I see that he's rented a chick flick, he definitely has a girlfriend. Ha. You gotta love our logic.
Okay, well I think I wrote enough in here to last a week, which is probably when I would have updated next, even if I hadn't written this much. Hopefully this will hold you over for a while.
Oh, yeah. Ryan plays the drums, too.
